The 34th annual Cabbagetown Short Film Festival is now accepting submissions for consideration via FilmFreeway until July 15 2025

We are thrilled to announce that filmmaker, PETE HENDERSON, has been selected as the recipient of the very first Cabbagetown Short Film Festival’s SMART SHORT AWARD!

Pete’s proposal, Every Goddamn Day, impressed the jury with its dark humour and clear vision, cleverly expressing the existential angst shared by a man and his dog.

Submissions for the Smart Short Award are now Closed.

The awardee will receive $400 to kickstart their film and $400 when it is completed.
